It's true.  Sometimes dogs hold us together.

Our dogs have become family and because of that we need them to be good.... like in front of people... so we can take them more places.

There's also the other side of the coin.  They are our family and we tend to ignore or just "put up with" behavior that could easily be changed.
The thing is dog behavior so often mirrors your own behavior and you never even realize it.

That's why you can put up with it, and that's why it irritates you.

Same with things you think about yourself.

One of the really cool things I've found in dog training is when one comes to understand that a dog really is "in the moment", life begins to open up in so many ways.  Stop holding on to the past.  Stop worrying about the future.  Make right now the exact way you want it to be.... just for the moment....

It is the fabric of happiness all the time..
The moments.
Combined.

Training your dog is not a drudgery... it can be something that you do while having fun... in the moment.
