Luca came to us with a history of aggression problems. He lunged at most everything, wouldn't let visitors in the house, had bit a friend of the family and could not go for a simple walk down the street.

But those problems didn't deter us from believing he is a good dog and it could be fixed.

We hear these stories all the time. "You guys are my last hope" And we fix the problems. It is what we do for a living and we've gotten really good at it.

So watch the video, and if it any of it sounds familiar and you're looking for some help, know that help is available and we can even teach you to do it yourself

You never know what you might run into when you take your dog out of the house. Might be a jogger, maybe a bicycle or perhaps a giant walking banana. In any event, the only thing that will keep your dog calm and you in control in those situations is good dog training.

Yes it can be done and it is really pretty easy. A few weeks of training and you and your dog might be humiliating yourself in one of these costumes too! Some of our clients participated in Halloween festivities by dressing their dogs (and themselves) and joining the parade. It was a great time and all the dogs marched through a crowd of 15,000 without so much as straining on the leash.

No way you think, not my dog? Well give the DVD a test run and join us for 30 days of a free trail membership with our online training course. You just might find it a howling good time!

The whole idea around training your dog is about being able to have a good time, being able to have harmony in the household... being able to have the "best friend" that Lassie was.

There are all kinds of myths floating around out there about how to train your dog and as a pro dog trainer, the idea that remote collar "takes the spirit out of your dog" seems to be one that is prevalent.  What I found very interesting is that I've never heard that statement out a person who actually researched it, tried it, found a professional dog trainer that explained what a great communication tool it is when used correctly.

This is just one small reason why Just Right Dog Training was created... a way to bring education to dog training online.  To dispel the idea that remote collar (some describe as a "shock collar") takes the spirit out of your dog we created this video and will be creating many more to help people visually see the training method is really fun for everyone.

Remote collar training when done correctly is really a "tap on the shoulder", a much gentler sensation that a yank on the leash hooked to a collar around the dogs neck...
It's even a gentler method that spending much of your time yelling at your dog... all the while the poor dog has no idea what you are talking about, or shouting about.

Remote collar allows your dog to "get it" ... to know right at the precise moment that they have done what you asked and then associate the word you are using with the action.

To help more people enjoy their dogs and to get the correct education out there about how to train your dog at home visit our site(s) and become a part of the private online dog training forum.  You'll be happy you did.  Your dog will be really happy you did.

"My dog pulls on the leash."  Its a common problem dog owners share.Sometimes that issue is so big that people can't even take their dogs out for a walk.. or even get them to the car for that matter without being pulled right over.

It's frustrating to say the least, and it stops a lot of people from getting the exercise a well trained dog needs... even the exercise a person needs for themselves!  It's a big deal as far as dog ownership goes and something we feel is incredibly important to cover right away for anyone with a dog.

It's so important we are including it in a live webcast on dog training... accessible  by anyone.  It's our way of giving back to the dog world and helping people to get out with their dogs for a more enjoyable time for you and your dog.

Our live webcast can be scene at www.DogTrainerGuru.com  So come on in and join us... you can even ask questions in the live chat about your particular dog and any obedience, training, or general question you have.

Dog Training is a super cool profession and it gets even cooler when one has been in it for a while.  I say that because there is so much under the surface of dog training that gets over looked... and it's important that dog trainers understand the psychology of how to help people train their own dogs from home.

After all that is where most dogs live, and where many of the problems start.  Without proper communication with the dog, bad behavior persists.  Many times it's as simple as something a person is "projecting" onto a dog that brings out these types of behaviors.

These professional dog trainers came to That's My Dog Advance Dog Training Academy to better their skills at not only dog training as a business, but they found out that personal growth and realizing their own thought process greatly effects how each and every person trains their own dog on a daily basis.

Like I said.  Cool stuff.

In developing a dog training program so people have the know how to train their own dog at home, these type of workshops give us huge input as to what people really need help with and what kinds of information works best.

Go Train Your Dog was developed so that people with dogs could have access to a library of information, online training, and a step by step dvd and could honestly have a trained dog in a short period of time.  Everyone is happy.  It's really what we are all looking for... a thing called harmony.

Thank you to all the professional dog trainers that came from all over to participate in our continuing education.  And thank you to all of our clients who have come to us for help whether it be in dvd, video online training, or lessons from a private trainer.

E Collar Palooza goes on at http://thatsmydog.com/ecollarpalo... on TwitPic This is the 4th year of E CollarPalooza, thus the name E4.

What is E CollarPalooza?  Well, it started out as a continuing education course for those professional dog trainers who specialized in remote collar.  And the really cool thing as with us as people (and I am speaking of Robin & I) the event has grown to new places and new ideas.

This year we have a bit of something for all kinds of dog training.  We really just want to bring an understanding of training techniques melded to an art form to share with as many dog training professionals as possible.  And we want the opportunity to expand on what we know as well by seeing and hearing ideas that other share with us at the event.

This year the event is bigger and more interesting than ever.  We've got a lot of mindset things going on.  We really want to bring our hope of a better world for dogs and people to as many as possible... we are doing it through attracting interesting people to the event...

As well we have brought a DVD and Online Dog Training Membership Site to reality.  Being able to share how to have a great relationship with dogs is now becoming something we really can bring to thousands and both people and dogs' lives will benefit.

It's really a cool thing.

Check out E4 Here.

And we hope to see you and your dog at the event, or online!  We'll broadcast this week from the event Sept 18-21...

Stay tuned for date and time and check our calendar and www.DogTrainerGuru.com

Clyde is a young Viszla that in my opinion is a way cool dog.  Some people might freak out on him, mainly because he has so much energy.  The cool thing though is knowing how to put his energy into good things instead of bad behavior.

For instance one of the things that is so irritating to people is a dog who jumps all the time.  Clyde has that habit.  Or I guess I should say HAD that habit.

The cool thing to remember in all the frustration of being a dog owner is that it takes the same energy for a dog to learn to sit and get attention as to jump on people and get attention.

It's really just a matter of knowing the right way to show that picture to a dog... and yes, a dog in fact does think and learn in pictures.

So you too can lose the frustration of dog training, learn the easiest way a dog thinks and learns, apply it to your dog... and have some fun...  like Clyde and Clyde the Viszla's very happy owners.

We thought it would be fun to explore some popular myths surrounding dog training.

After all, there is a lot of mis-information out there. So here is the first except.

Special thanks to, Ruger, Abby and Maya!!

It's true.  Sometimes dogs hold us together.

Our dogs have become family and because of that we need them to be good.... like in front of people... so we can take them more places.

There's also the other side of the coin.  They are our family and we tend to ignore or just "put up with" behavior that could easily be changed.
The thing is dog behavior so often mirrors your own behavior and you never even realize it.

That's why you can put up with it, and that's why it irritates you.

Same with things you think about yourself.

One of the really cool things I've found in dog training is when one comes to understand that a dog really is "in the moment", life begins to open up in so many ways.  Stop holding on to the past.  Stop worrying about the future.  Make right now the exact way you want it to be.... just for the moment....

It is the fabric of happiness all the time..
The moments.
Combined.

Training your dog is not a drudgery... it can be something that you do while having fun... in the moment.
